- Implement and customize special therapeutic diets: Low FODMAPS, gluten-free, casein-free, soy-free, low oxalate, low phenol, specific carbohydrate diet, and ketogenic diet (Certified via the Bioindividual Nutrition Institute)
- Select, calculate, and monitor enteral and parenteral nutrition regimens
- Create medical nutrition therapy meal plans and supplement plans using lab work interpretation
- Utilize the Nutrition Care Process and ADIME to standardize patient care
Community Nutrition
- Communicate in three language: Bilingual in French and Spanish
- Translate research: Put complicated research findings and technical nutrition information into easy to understand language
- Create email marketing campaigns and promotions to improve patient participation and compliance in nutrition programs or to reach new target groups
- Maintain e-commerce marketing assets such as WordPress blogs and shopping carts for a clinic’s nutrition programs
- Create and edit promotional videos and images using software such as Adobe Photoshop, Camtasia, Snagit, PowerPoint, and Excel
Food Service
- Develop menus and recipes based on patient and company needs
- Manage a kitchen and staff following ServSafe food safety guidelines
- Implement and maintain a HACCP plan including training of staff
- Cost food, menus, labor, and equipment to meet company needs
- Analyze food service staff efficiency and implement improvements in productivity
Other
- Communicate using active listening with clients, team members, staff, and superiors
- Lead group and workshop presentations and perform cooking demonstrations to promote healthy eating and behavior change
- Listen to client goals helping motivate and guide them to achieve their goals
- Keep data organized and with high level of detail
- Manage time carefully to keep current on deadlines
- Work independently needing minimal supervision as team member or in leadership position
